After some time studying coding, I finally addressed some of the game's bugs.
To solve some, like the floaty jump the game had (you can try the PostJamBuild to see what I mean), it only required me to find the perfect balance between the Player's Gravity and the Jump variable. Others needed me to get my hands dirty with code. The list of improvements are:
- Gravity and jump parameters for each frog, it was really painful to play with the Sludge Frog before, but now all of them feel much more smoother to play with.
- The camera follows the player and zooms in or out depending on the state the frogs are in.
- Balanced the Heron enemy, now it's slower and won't follow the player for the whole map.
- Polished the tilemap.
- Improved the level design for the Frog and the Bunny Frog
- Some code improvements.
- The animation speed of the frogs is faster, leaving a better feeling for the player.
Sooner or later I'll add the fourth frog with an underwater part of the level.
